Who we are
We are Márcia and Jalda Quintana, managers of Inn Quinta da Margem and sisters, and we have been in Barra da Lagoa for over 40 years. In the early 1980s we chose this special corner of the city to live in with our family. We followed the neighborhood's transformation from a rural, fishing area with corn, coffee and sugar cane plantations to the renowned tourist region that Barra da Lagoa is today. In 2008 we created Inn Quinta da Margem to share with others the unique and enchanting experience of this place, which has the essence of the Florianopolitan way of life.
Nature by the water's edge
Quinta da Margem is located in the midst of lush nature on the banks of Canal da Barra, in a 2000m2 tropical garden of preserved native forest that includes mangroves, fruit trees and a private beach.
Combining nature, leisure and comfort, our guesthouse has 5 air-conditioned apartments, equipped with a mini-kitchen, wifi and TV, and a large house with 4 bedrooms, an exclusive deck and views of the garden. In a safe and private environment, it is close to great restaurants and main services.
To enjoy this tranquility, the inn offers sun loungers, kayaks and fishing equipment, as well as a warehouse over the water. For boats, it has its own ramp and poita (anchor).
And for fun and sports there are the options of the calm waters of the canal and the lagoon in front or the beautiful beaches on the east of the island just a few minutes away.
